Looking at buying an SLR107, what are the pros and cons of purchasing either Stock configuration?

They seem to be about the same price +/- $50

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's personal preference. I'm on the fence myself. Most likely going to go with the triange just waiting to see if prices will drop or if a sale will pop up.
If you can't decide buy the solid stock version and pick up a triangle folder assembly

The triangle looks cooler, it also folds slightly flatter.  The solid feels better/works better.    Thats it.

Nothing more, or less profound than that.

What is more important to you?

Or "Get ,Both".

If you can afford it.

Solid is probably more comfortable for shooting.

Triangle will look cooler for the arfcom pics. Plus you can stuff a bandage in there and wrap it with a tourniquet.

They are pretty much the same to shoot.  The triangle is slightly thinner.. and its metal so it might get cold.  It is going to be very slightly more compact when folded.  But slower to unlock and open.

Really, the differences are minimal.. just get the one you like the look of.

Where may one buy a triangular folder assembly? Is it a simple switch from a solid folder?

Thanks for the help fellas,

im pretty sure we wont be seeing a sale anytime soon.  You can always get the taiwanese version that runs about half the price and seems pretty solid.

Head to head I prefer the solid, but with the RD triangle stock pouch on the triangle folder I like it better. But as stated before, it's just a personal preference thing.

The poly folder has a place for your cleaning kit.  The triangle folder does not.

For that reason alone the solid was worth it for me. Maybe down the road Ill consider a triangle on another rifle.

If its in the budget, get both. That way you can change it out when you get bored. If I could only have one, it would be the triangle with 550 paracord wrapped around the upper bar.

I just replaced the solid stock on my 106 with a triangle folder. The solid offered a bit more comfort, but the slightly smaller profile that the triangle provides (when folded) is the main reason I made the switch. Oh, and it looks pretty damn sweet to boot.

Nothing a short strip of velcro or a bit of 550 cord can't fix.

IMHO, I like the triangle. I replaced the poly on my 107. The push button release on the poly can become irritating after several hundred rounds against the shoulder, with a thin shirt. The triangle "feels" lighter, although I haven't weighed either. They both suck on comfort, but the cool factor goes to the triangle. As far as the cleaning kit, I have yet to need one while at the range or while pig hunting. Buy a bore snake and put it in your pocket.

I always like the look for the triangle folder, When I bought one with it I wasn't all that impressed with it. Might just  be me , but I just didn't feel right when I shot it. But I kept it on my rifle for the "period correctness" of the look I wanted with it. Just my opinion however :)

There are some small pouches out there that attach to the triangle folder for storage. Rifle Dynamics makes one but they are a little spendy.

That is pretty sweet! How much are they asking for the pouch?

The solid stock is more comfortable for me to shoot.
