I did a search and found nothing. So if it's a dupe or something, please let me know. For some background, a few years ago I sent a new Bulgarian receiver and a new Kvar Bulgarian kit to Solstice Arms for a build. I and several (hundreds?) of customers were ripped off by a dishonest "gunsmith" for some major bucks. The authorities got involved, deals were made, blah, blah, blah. The customers got screwed. I did eventually get my receiver back with only cosmetic damage to the exterior surfaces. But the kit had been cannibalized for the new parts. The barrel that was returned to me was very badly damaged, numerous other parts were missing. I was pissed but at least I got my receiver back. It is irreplaceable in California. I jumped through the hoops and filed a claim for the cost of damaged/missing parts and for the money that I was charged for the "build" and refinish. I recently received a letter from the Kansas Attorney General basicly informing me that Gary Gucciano and April Skelton had filed for bankruptcy. So I could expect to probably not get a refund for the stuff that they stole/damaged/defrauded me out of. Then about two weeks ago I receive a follow up letter from the KAG telling me that they have discovered some previously undiscovered assets, and that I have until June to file a claim. So, anyone else here know anything about this, or am I the only one? |
Thanks, I haven't been there for a while. I'll check it out. |
I'm filing my claim even if I don't recover postage costs on the envelope to send it in. So $6,500.00 minus lawyers fees minus court costs divided by # ? claims = ? Worth every penney. |
