| I'm tempted to buy one in 556 but the performance of 110gr tsx in 300 BLK and similar are so much better. With the ability to shoot subs too. I think I'm Going to wait and see if it ever happens. I'm sure 7.62x39 will happen first which I think is a mistake but I'm biased. Anyone else want a krink in 300 BLK? |

I just bought a 5.56 Krink and would buy a 300 blk also. The build quality of the 5.56 krink is very good. Havent had time to shoot it yet. Hopefully this week |

The whole purpose for .300 BLK is it's a "plug and play" solution for shooting suppressed with heavy subsonic ammunition in a platform that's traditionally chambered in 5.56 (AR15, ect). Same bolt, same magazines, with much better terminal ballistics. .300 BLK does an excellent job at this. With that said, a lot of people buying .300 BLK firearms don't even own a suppressor... Even if you do own a one, the AK isn't exactly a quiet host to begin with. 7.62x39 is much cheaper and more abundant. |

You can do the same thing with x39, plenty of people offering heavy subs for it, PPU, Hornady, Atomic etc. There were AR's using x39 looooong before .300 came out. But let me offer an alternative for both : 9x39 Build one of those and i'm all over it. |

Just ordered one ![]() I don't think I've ever seen heavy subsonic 7.62x39 floating around that wasn't super expensive, plus there's the whole "did the commies actually make it right, or will it wobble and keyhole it's way out of the barrel and ruin my can"...300blk replicates it, but also gives a much less expensive and more available subsonic option. Then there's being able to go to a local store and buy a few boxes of supers and subs at the same time, vs only being able to find supers in x39... And it's designed around super short barrels. So the caliber complaint is a non-issue, to me. The problem now is finding appropriate muzzle devices (keymo or xeno, I'm not going in on a 3rd mounting solution for all my HUB cans), and figuring out how to mount an optic ![]() And when(if) it proves out reliable with supers/subs/cans on each, then to figure out a stock solution... |

I like mine, but it won’t cycle subs yet. Waiting to put a couple hundred thru it to see if it’ll loosen up a bit. Attached File |

Weird, what subs? Mine cycled factory Hornady 208gr subs, without a can but with the factory muzzle device/booster. It had 2 stovepipes where I watched it, both times, have the charging handle on the bolt carrier kick the spent brass back into the action while cycling...it was funny but annoying. With a can I'd imagine it'd spit them out pretty well? |

Due to these two factors, .300 BLK makes sense for an AR. However, 7.62x39 rather than .300BLK does make more sense in an AK since the caliber is native to the rifle and magazines. Personally, I wish PSA would work more on the consistency and longevity of their rifles. My PSAK 101 is giving me headaches again to the point I wish I could just get my money back… |
