| Being of Polish Decent I thought it would be awesome to get a polish under folder. BUT where to start ..brands to avoid etc .. Help a brother out |
Yes I have one also, however they are hard to find now.
This looks like a good option.http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/component/virtuemart/shipping-rifles/ak47-polish-folder-vaf-47-detail.html?Itemid=0 |

My minty 1980 polish with original barrel is being built right now. Got it off gunbroker.
Be prepared to pay for an original. Mine looks to be unfired. Original polish barrel will have several # 2's on top of the barrel underneath the gas tube. It will also have several other inspector symbols, markings. |

Buy a matching kit with original barrel, a Nodak NDS-1P, and some lube. It won't be cheap but it will be nicer than any of the other "offerings" out there right now. I picked up a very nice kit and a receiver from a friend and had it built by Quentin at Iron Curtain Creations. They did an amazing job on the rifle... PolishX, Bro, I can help you out too.
Mine is a Lancaster-build on a NODAK receiver, all matching. Operates quite well, flawlessly so far. Haven't spent sufficient trigger time to judge for sure but I suspect there are other AKMS clones that shoot a tad tighter than this one ... just dunno yet. Of Polish descent may I suggest you acquire all Polish accoutrements for your new rifle, sling, magazine carrier, bayonet 'n scabbard, et cetera, et al? They add up to a nice touch. May your quest bring you joy. |
