I undestand that if you buy 2 they give you the key to open them?  Is there any other way to open the Russian Span cans other than the key?

Pliers, lots of ways. Be creative. Just my .02 though,

They key I received with my spam cans sucked. I ended up using tin snips.

Hammer and chisel..or even a screwdriver will work...just get one end open, then bend the flap open and remove ammo...you dont have to take the whole thing off....

4" ginder works. Grind the top seem, you can buzz through and get the lid off in about 10 seconds give or take 4 or 5 days depending on the extend of your ER visit.

Personally I have opened all my cans with the opener provides with zero issues, but I suppose if it does not come with an opener a hammer and screwdriver works well also.

That's funny. Wasn't  from opening spam cans but grinders have sent me to the ER twice. 25 stitches in my right knee and 12 stitches in my right hand.

(I still use my 4" Dewalt grinder to open spam cans though.)

A lot of people just give those spam can wrenches away because they have so many.   Maybe try an ad in the WTB section.
