[ARCHIVED THREAD] - TAT Pilot diameter?

Just purchased the die and TAT to "re-fang" my MAK-90 with a flash suppressor..... I haven't seen anywhere that the TAT comes in different pilot diameters.... The one I received is the correct 1X14 LH thread, but the pilot diameter is 0.214.

Preciseinnovations doesn't list such a TAT pilot diameter with the 1X14 LH threads.... It doesn't seem that a 0.214 pilot in a 7.62 bore would be very condusive to correct alignment???? or is is just an "approximate" guide???

I just measured the pilot diameter of the M14x1 TAT I purchased from CNC Warrior. It measures .298"

That sounds much better.... I'll contact CNC Warrior and order the correct one.

No problem. Perhaps you have a TAT for a 5.45 caliber rifle.
