Anyone know about Tabuk AKs?  I've looked all over the net and found nothing except Saddam had a Golden one.  Are these new?  What are the chances of finding one available?

These are used in Iraq but have not read much more.  I will check the Guns & Ammo edition about AK's, Tabuk Ak was listed in this issue.

The tabuk is a Yug0 M70 that was built with Iraqi tooling.... the first ones were built with Yugo parts. Basically Iraq wanted rifles and bought crap from Yugoslavia and later bought some tooling to make their own from the Yugos.

Have you checked out the Iraqi section at the theakforum ?  There are 5 pages of threads, most of which involve the Tabuk and a few which involve other creatures found living in Iraq

I had one for awhile. mostly just as a toy. It was too long to be practical. They are semi-auto only and I toyed with the idea of chopping it and bringing home the parts but in the end i chickened out. It had some cool arabic characters and a lion/spinx type emblem on it. but "Tabuk" was in english.

The one in that magazine is a semi-auto clone.  Some parts kits made it here during the PLO kit craze but not many, however, the full buttstock one featured is the owners conception of a full-buttstock variant.
