I am thinking about getting a tantal.  My only question is if the Polish military ever used solid buttstocks or a different sidefolder on them rather than that ugly wire thing they call a buttstock.  And if so, how hard would it be to build up with a normal buttstock?

The Tantal sidefolders are similar to the E.German and Romanian stocks as they all use a std. fixed butt stock extention (trunion).   So, if you don't like what the kit comes with, almost any std. AKM buttstock will fit in it's place.
