I am looking to upgrade to a peep style sight, and found this http://www.tech-sights.com/.

Looks like a good Idea, but not sure about how well they would hold zero after you take the receiver cover off to clean. Any one tried  this type of sights?
I plan to put this on my 16" Para Trooper if that matters.

Yes, mine works fine.  The aperture is too large (in my opinion).  Also, it comes with loc-tight already on the screws.  Their lock-tight is worthless, use your own.

Mine has so far been on and off the rifle 3 or more times and holds zero.  Doesn't come loose or anything.

I like the sight picture, but that's a given. I couldn't see the sights before. I think the aperture is too large also, I installed a recoil pad and it's just about perfect now. Probably will take the pad off because it changes the balance of the rifle too much. It's a much better sight than the original, you can center the front post and make all your corrections from the rear on the 200 series sight.

Williams Was My choice. Simple. And You can take the rifle apart without messing with the sight.

Cheapshot, I installed the Williams site and finally got to try it out today.  The firesight front really lights up for my old eyes but I don't have enough movement on the rear peep to bring the point of impact down to where it needs to be.  I'm high by a good 8" or more at 50 yds.  Did you have to do any modifications to install it so you could site in properly?

But can you note the limitation of the Williams?

You must adjust the windage on the front, as the rear has none.

I have 3 sets of Tech Sights, paratrooper, Yugo and Chinese.  They are great.

Use a bore mop and run it down the muzzle with CLP or oil, whatever you like.  They are 50 year old surplus rifles, that ain't gonna hurt them.

If only they made a cheap Trijicon FSP, you'd really have something.
