| Is this a bad idea, I have my ak at the gunsmith getting it threaded and compensator put on, I hear about alot of people saying that their compensator/muzzle brake wobbles when the rifle gets warm! Is it a bad idera to put some thread locker on to prevent that? Thanks |

If you are using a muzzle brake that is held in place with the little retaining plunger on the front sight, I wouldn't bother using thread locker.
If your muzzle brake just threads on and uses a crush washer or something... well, I'd at least shoot it first and wait and see if it's even an issue before you go fixing a problem that may not even exist. |
| Most of the "permanent" thread lockers (LocTite, etc.) are only "permanent" until you remove them by applying heat. The non-permanent thread lockers are removeable using hand tools. You'll be getting plenty of heat at the end of your barrel. I'm not sure you would be helping anything. You'd maybe even make things worse - shoot and heat up the barrel, thread locker loosens, muzzle brake rotates, stop shooting, barrel cools, thread locker hardens again, locking muzzle break in a rotated (incorrect) position. |

if it bothers you try Teflon tape I've heard of this before. Never tried it myself but wondered, does the heat affect the T tape? melting point of Teflon is above 600 degrees, they coat cookware with it. It probably won't melt unless you are full auto firing |
