If this has been asked before I appologize, but I couldnt find any information on this topic:

I recently assembled a Romanian parts kit onto an Ohio Ordnance receiver, all measurements appeared to be fine, however on the first test fire shot it didnt eject the shell.  Manualy cleared the shell, everything still looked fine, 2nd shot the top cover came off and it cycled fine.  The problem is that the top cover does not seem to want to stay on.  It does not fit on any harder than any other one I remember, but it seems to restrict the bolt from making the extraction.  I know it is probably a big NO NO but I fired 3 rounds without the cover on and it cycles smoothly.

Does anyone have any suggestions or can someone direct me to somewhere that makes a different top cover?

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

OOW receivers are a little too long.  did you trim the excess material from the back end of the receiver?  i made that mistake on my first build and my top cover wouldn't stay on either.  My fix was to run a bead of JB weld to build out the area on the rear trunion were the cover presses against the rear trunion.  doing this made the dust cover fit snugger in the front trunion.  you may have the same issue.
