| I was working with a laser blank. As far as the welds and keeping things straight I had zero problems. With the trunions clamped in place, the cover was not as far back as I think it should be. The only other cover issue was that the receiver was slightly to wide. I was thinking about hitting it with a belt sander to shorten the cover a bit. I ordered a jig and some flats. I'm gonna bend a new one. The laser cut is a nice idea but there are a few issues I am not thrilled with. I only plan on building one Ak so I wanna make it nice. I figure I'll bend up a few for myself if I should feel energetic and sell the dies. |
