[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Trigger guard rivets

I finally for my reciever today and was looking it over and I noticed the front two trigger guard rivets are somewhat underneath the center support. How to you smash the rivets with a press when they are like this? I should have my new selector stop (don't ask) and trigger guard rivet set by the end of the week and would really like to get it together this weekend.

you can modify a piece of bar stock to fit under the center sppt. or you can hammer them in with a trigger guard jig on your vice.

I use an air hammer to mush the TG rivets, I modified an air hammer bit for the two that are under the center support. works like a champ. McM
