Both of my MD-63's have ser#'s and dates (one 1980 and one 1989) and neither one have the triangle with arrow stamp on them. Why is that?Maybe not romy as advertised (APEX)?

With the Romanian rifles, sometimes the "arrow in the triangle" arsenal stamp is on the trunnion (particularly with older rifles); sometimes there's simply a "empty triangle" stamp; other times it's just a set of serial numbers.  Seems like the later variants were devoid of the "triangle with the arrow" stamp and done much like the SAR-type commercial rifles.

Yours are probably very much Romanian.  APEX kind of has the countries down fairly well.  If you could post a photo (block out a few of your serial numbers, etc.), it would certainly help.

Just dug out my "G" and glanced at the trunnion. It has a triangle (no arrow) and 1984S and then the ser#.Darn "G" looks brand new
