[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Ultimak plus Comp M2?

I decided on an Ultimak gas tube rail for my AK. I'd love to get a new T-1, but that's not going to happen for a while. I have an Aimpoint M2 on a RAS II mount. The mount itself is pretty low, but I'm not sure if it'll lower 3rd co-witness. And the QD of the LaRue mount means I can take the optic off if its damaged, etc. Anyone run such a set-up? Thanks

I have seen people run those 30mm red dots on an Ultimak, but not very often. It's a bit of weight to be having over the front of the rifle like that.
Might be worth it to sell it and use the money to buy an H-1.

These are very low and will get you lower 1/3 cowitness
