For those of you who have experience with either, or preferably both, which do you prefer? I am refering to the under folder as used on the Polish PMKMS and the side folder on the AK-74SU. Also, which has a shorter length of pull, and is more comfortable (I would guess side folder, but don't know)? How about the sturdiness? Forgive me if my nomenclature is incorrect, I'm not nearly as well versed in AKs as I am with ARs. Thanks. |

Underfolders look awesome! Triangle/Skeleton (Left) Side Folders (ie: AKS-74U) are much more practical, easier to deploy under pressure (or not), and far better cheek weld..., this considering underfolders have absolutely no cheek weld whatsoever!!! Hell .., those POS Romy side folders have a better cheek weld than the unders do!!! Like I said..., IMO..., underfolders look cool..., but functionally they suck ass big time!! No contest, Triangle/Skeleton (Left) Side Folders RULE!!! IMO: #1 Triangle/Skeleton Folder #2 Ace Side Folder Folder #3 Romy or German Side Folder #4 Under Folder As you see..., personaly an Underfolder would be my last choice!!! But like TheRedHorseman said: "definitely a matter of personal preference" |
Are you refering to the cheapo Romy wire stock, or the Russian triangular stock? |
