| OK, it's a noob question but can a under folder AK be converted to a side folder? I have a good price on a under folder from Arsenal but I would like a side folding stock from Tapco and don’t know if it can be installed on a receiver that shipped from the factory as a under folder. |
Dude, thats like going to meineke to get a new exhaust for your Ferrari. |
There ya go. Seriously, tapco folders are terrible, ive had one. Tapco folders attach to fixed stock rear trunnions ONLY. Underfolder trunnions close the back of the AK reciever. It would just be a waste of time and money to put an sidefolder on an underfolder setup receiver. Why would you want to do that in the first place? |

Come on guys. Give me a break I'm an AR guy. WTF! This would be my first AK. How was I to know you couldn't do it. That's why I was asking. I was thinking about building one. But I figured it the stock swap was possible why not. So then who has the best kits for building your own? How is the underfolder so much better? I've never used anything from Tapco so I didn't know their stuff sucks. Can you quickly deploy an underfolder? Looks like it would be slow to deploy if your taking fire. |
