I am an AR owner and I've read & heard alot of praise about the VEPR K and was intrested in buying one. Can you folks show me as many pictures of possible configurations as you can "VEPR Gun Porn"! Thanx in Advance. -Bub-

Here is a site that has alot of great custom VEPRs: PARA BELLUM, INC. That site is owned by a fellow member, brokenbank. Here's a pic of my VEPR, before I sent the stock to Para Bellum for a new paint job (I will post current pics when I get the stock back). PLEASE TACK THIS THREAD.

AltAK, How do you like the Eotech on there? I ran a Bushnell holosight on my Vepr and had trouble getting a good cheek-weld. I ended up taking it off. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c258/chuck6d/PC180913.jpg |
I like it just fine. it seems to work for me. there is a little getting used to the whole holographic thing, but its all good now. |

any particular reason why you choose to machine down the break instead of boring out the bayonet? |

this is a little off-topic, but what kind of accuracy can i expect from a .223 VEPR variant? And how much should I expect to pay for that rifle? Can the barrel be free-floated? Are there any after-market or custom stocks available? What AK parts work with these rifles? How reliable? Easy to clean/service? Can they be stored dirty or are they "frilly" like hunting rifles? Any after-market match barrels available? Weight? Heh I know that's a seperate question but I really want one of these. Alex Robinson is a family friend so I might get a little discount if i'm lucky. Sorry for the hijack, just email me the answers or IM them and it would be appreciated. Thanks |
What stock is that and where can you buy one? |
Thanks a lot man :D I just ordered my first Vepr in .308 and it should hopefully be coming in sometime this next week! Got another question for ya though! http://www.ak47.com/VEPR%205.45x39mm%20Tactical%20005.jpg What foregrip is that? |

it doesnt look like that anymore, he had a russian splav camo put on the furniture by Para Bellum Go check out thier site they do great work...
Robinson sells a vented foregrip for the VEPR. The ones with 3 long vents hroizontally in the handguards are the robinson stock hangguards. Any other vented handguards are done by the owner or the owner has had them done. Heres my wifes....its the same one as shown above, just in black now, along with my .308

Hi guys. I'm a Norwegian hunter/shooter. I thought I'l post a couple of pictures of my Vepr Super in 308win. http://www.sluttstykket.com/blinkskudd/albums/userpics/10014/vepr1.JPG a close up http://www.sluttstykket.com/blinkskudd/albums/userpics/10014/vepr2.JPG |
SOR thats a great looking super. I have a few questions 1) Is that the original stock, just modified? Or is it custom made wood? Either way it looks GREAT on that super. It took me a second to realize it was a super 2) Has it affected the accuracy better or worse changing the stock? 3) What kind of groups do you get with it? And with the original wood? |
|
my Vepr habit started here: club.guns.ru/eng/vepr.html theres alot of good historical data on the system |
Looks great! I've never seen a gas-tube takedown lever like that. Was that stock on your rifle or aftermarket? If so, where can I get one? |
I believe it is the original stock that has been modified by the previous owner. The front handgaurd was glass bedded as well. As for the accuracy, I have only shot surplus ammo thru her. Not much better than 2.75" groups with a good batch. I'm sure it would do better with some match grade stuff. |
I've tested the rifle a couple of times on the range. Using Nato surplus 308 I got 20mm groups. The rifle is one of few semi-autos allowed to use for hunting, here in Norway. |
|
Where do you guys get those magazines that look to hold 20+ rounds? Are they possible to find for .308? Here is my VEPR II .308 http://img489.imageshack.us/img489/3852/63km.jpg http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/3757/51ub.jpg |
