I managed to get to the range now that I have my VEPR back from Robinson and sat down on the bench to get it zeroed in perfectly. I was shooting hollowpoint ammo with a "3" over a "94". I don't remember the brand but I think it came in a plain white box. Anyway, I crap you guys not that I had one three round group with all three rounds touching!!! I tried over and over to duplicate that but that was the only group I got that tight. Most groups ran about 1.5" to 2". All shooting was done from a bagged rest at 100 yards. So much for the myth of AK inaccuracy!

They are never on the low end of a grouping comparison. Sounds like ammo that I have, white boxes came in bundles of about 8 boxes in a waxy sealed packing, case marked Klimovsk (sp) Stamping Plant. Guns that have shot that welll for me also do well on Barnaul fmj and sp. The special k ammo is now only sold here under other names by contract, but the cases say the plant name, along side whatever bear brand, etc.

Good bore, stable platform, smooth trigger, all add up nicely.
