Has anyboby out there tried to put K-Var furniture or any other new military type stocks on the Vepr 7.62X 39 or 5.45X 39 rifles. Keep reading all this good press, but not ready for the new look. Thanks

You can not put K-var polymer stocks on a Vepr.  They just won't fit.  The cut receiver is the Veprs big downfall, but for that it would be the best AK in America.  Now you have to go Bulgarian to get #1.

That said, you best bet is to try a Mak-90 sporter stock if you want something different.  I have heared that those will fit.

Like SouthernShark says K-var stocks will not fit the stock VEPR. However if you send it to Kreb's Custom he will weld steel triangles to the back of the receiver and blend them in. After this is done he fits the K-Var stock and pistol grip to it. The forend is a different matter. It requires a RPK forend which he can also fit to your rifle. I just got mine back and it is a whole different rifle. It's lighter and better balanced. Not to mention the fact that it looks 1000% better!! If you don't mind a slightly unconventional look try the ACE FAL pistol grip IMO it feels much better than the regular AK one.
