I have a Polish underfolder ( Vector) that I waited in line for when they first started building the underfolders dont now much about it other than what I stated, Took it out and sighted it in and its been in the safe ever since.
Thinking aboout selling it does anyone know what the value is? WWW |

That's a Bulgarian kit with the original Bulgarian barrel. |
|
Bought it from Atlantic also, Its a polish gun though, guess its been 6 or 7 years ago Not sure. |

Is it all matching numbers? Were the bolt lugs ground to set the headspace? The answers to both questions will make a great deal of difference to an informed buyer. What numbers am I looking for? The only ones I see are on the trunion and the reciever and No they dont match???? Am I missing something? Not sure if the bolt has been ground or not? I'll dig it out and take some pic's |

"Matching numbers" refers to the numbers on the trunnion and other parts: carrier, bolt, piston tube, dust cover, sight leaf, selector lever |
| No one was being rude. Simply a statement that your gun would be worth alot more had it been built on an Arsenal, or NDS receiver. We are not allowed to comment on a for sale thread, but you asked what the gun was worth. The ITM receiver is not completely heat treated. Just around the pin holes. Also the receiver is out of spec when built with a 47 kit because the safety lever hole is in the wrong place. It's in the right place for a 74 build. OOW, who made the ITM receiver, cheaped out when they designed the receiver. Instead of making a receiver for the 47, & 74, they used the "one size fits all" design. This causes a gap between the top of the safety lever, & the bottom of the top cover when the lever is in the safe position. Just a fact of life that the ITM receiver lowers the potential value of an AK. Now if you can find a potential buyer who knows nothing about AK's, you're in great shape. Good luck. GARY N4KVE |

GARY N4KVE Exactly. Unfortunalty you have an early example when Vector used that receiver. As stated above, a later version with an Arsenal USA or NDS would be worth more, about $600 to $650 in my area and I live 15 minutes from Vector. And that's if the numbers match. |

GARY N4KVE Had the reply stated this instead of " I wouldnt give you..." Which is not what I asked It would have been a lil easier to take. I remember this being talked about back at the time I bought it but unfortunatly Atlantic didnt offer any options on this rifle at the time, I was so gassed up at being able to get my hands on a Underfolder at the time it really didnt make any difference after not having one since back in the early 80's when you could buy the Chinese AK UF's for $250! So with all the talk, Is that what its worth not what youd give but what its worth? 450-500 Rifle is in perfect condition for an out of spec AK. Thanks for all the info. Doug |
| I'll phrase this more delicately for you, because of the ITM reciver I value the rifle at about $500. You may get more from someone who is unfamilure with the shortcomings of the ITM reciver. BTW you also have Bulgarian handguards. We still need to know if it is number matching. |
|
Sight leaf has no numbers, Saftey has no numbers The bolt carrier has an 11 that you can tell is factory stamped on it as well as the trunion. I'm seeing alot of really light electro pencil marks on most parts but their so light you cant read em. I'm not seeing any numbers on the bolt?!?!

One would think that 5-6-7 years ago that there wouldnt have been a shortage on parts and one might buy a rifle with the correct parts, For that matter how do I know its a Polish rifle? |
| What is actually stamped on the trunion? Do you have a picture? Polish will have a 11 inside an oval. All the parts on my Vector Polish rifle have the last 4 digets of the trunion number stamped on them. Years ago I had a Vecor built on a ITM reciver. It was a mix of parts with an East German trunion. |

Yea, Thats what I'm getting, Oh well! As far as fit and finish its a nicer build that what I'm seeing now as my nephew has bought a few and has not been satisfied with em. As far as looks go this one is perfect with no blemishes and the stock locks up really tight and its one of the few AK's I own that the chamber is correct and it shoots really well.
Thanks for your help! WWW |
