Anyone have a high round count on one of these yet?
Also, I've been thinking about having the barrel but down and having my Bonesteel Muzzle Break pinned on - anyone know of a company that does this and the cost. Finally, would this cause any function issues? |

Only about 150 or so rounds through mine thus far. Used it for grouse hunting last fall and a little bit of range fun. It'll see plenty more use before next seasons grouse hunting. Mine ran perfect right out of the box. I only run full power high brass loads through mine. Heavy game loads and slugs. Love it. |

I've had a few hundred, lost count now, but mine eats Federal Game Load 1290FPS like its starving, I won't cycle as well with anything lower than 1290FPS, anything above that I've had no problem cycling
I know there are a few builders over at Saiga-12 forum you could check with, I think it will affect cycling but I'm not sure how all the science with that works |
| My VEPRs, at least, have 5 ports at .080. This port combo should be good for a chop as short as 14" to 16". A re-profile of the underside of the carrier and hammer may be needed. I don't think it would take much to make a VEPR 12 run with a permed Bonesteel brake. How well the weapon is supported by you has more to do with it than most people realize. Pulling the weapon tightly to your chest or shoulder can be the difference between ejecting and not. |
