Has anyone had any experience with this firearm?  I have been hearing and reading a lot about this rifle.  Is it worth the asking price of $1200?

the ultimate analysis of worth can only be determined by the buyer.

the oow built vz-2000 appears to be very nicely made. it 'looks' like new and features a milled receiver that requires many hours of machining.

imo, the vz-2000 is marketed more to the collector of com-bloc weapons than to the average saturday morning range plinker.

if it were my $1200, i could think of other rifles i would spend my money on.

I too have been interested in the VZ 2000 every since it was first advertised as a concept weapon 3 years ago.
The VZ looks very much like the real Czech rifle it was copied after, and would be an excellent rifle for the person who wants to have something different than the rest of their buddies. The VZ looks cool, and would be a neat gun to own but, as Campy said, is it really worth the $1200+ they are asking for it. I don’t know.

I have 4 kits, but even the receiver alone is over $800.... I am glad they came through with this receiver regardless, and I understand the development costs can be sky high.... it just might be a while before I can convince myself to 'afford' one of those babies. Would look great next to my Vz-52, Vz-52/57, Cz-52 pistol
etc.... like Campy said, a collector type rifle if anything....
