| I have a new WASR2 from Aim. The used Bulgarian mags I'm using arent feeding consistently, one fits a little loose, the other is really tight. I haven't tried the steel one that came with the rifle yet. There is no consistent pattern, the bolt just doesn't strip the next round consistently, regardless of how many rounds are in it, and sometimes the cartridge doesn't seat properly in the chamber. Is this common? |
| it sounds like your mag latch is milled down too far or something. do your mags rock back and forth? if so, thats the problem and i think a new mag latch from KVAR would fix it. bulgarian mags with the brown followers fit very tight in my gun, but the ones with the black follower and the steel romanian mag fit and feed fine. |

The poly and steel that I got with my rifle were a bit loose, the 12 pack from ORF all fit tight. I have problems when I load odd numbers less than 10 in my mags. Most likely b/c it was a single stack rifle opened up without a feed ramp. Anything over 10 all the mags function great. No malfunctions when I shoot down a mag at all. Just if I decide to load only 3,5 or 7. If your mags are loose you might want to buy the 12 pack to see if any of them function better. If they do you have new go to mags, if they don't well then you have 12 more mags, and thats not such a bad thing. |

Their is a little rock up and down from the back portion of the mag, the front of the mag is snug. I tried the steel mag and a few other bulgarian plastic mags and they fit fine. Do you think those few mags that didn't work are just very worn. Should I try replacing the mag latch? I'm not sure when I'mm be able to shoot it again. Thanks |
