Is it an ok rifle I think I might buy one after I get an AK in 7.62X39. Since ammo is cheaper then 7.62X39 and mags are 9.95 each. I am thinking about buying one.

I just got one from Aim. Its good for the price. Not the best finish but has been 100% reliable. I have just shot the Bulgarian stuff from Century through it.

My question is are the barrels chrome lined? I cant tell. I have left it sitting the last few weeks to see how much it will rust but havent noticed any yet. It hasnt been humid in my house though.

AIM's site doesn't specify, but it does say that the x39 counterpart, WASR-10, has a chrome-lined barrel. I don't remember anyone mentioning that it doesn't have a chrome-lined barrel, however.

My WASR2s do have chrome lined barrels.

Mine didnt like taking mags, I sold it and got an ORF gun in the end

Mine had the same problem but a few minutes with a grinder and it works like a champ.
