As the title states, the trigger pin on my WASR is walking out towards the left side of the receiver. It can be pushed out with finger pressure, or does so on it's own under recoil (...of a bump dump) There seems to be about 0.001" of protrusion through the side of the receiver...just a hair, really. I thought about just peening the end of the pin, or 'staking' it with a sharp chisel to keep it from walking through. Any ideas? If I get ambitious later, I'll take a picture. Thanks, 7M3 |

Is your sheperd's hook screwy? Maybe the notch for it is too shallow. ETA I think Crapco makes some kind of hassle-free aftermarket thingy that might hold the pin better.. Here it is... |

Yeah - dumb question probably, but you do have a spring/hook retaining the trigger and hammer pins, right? If not, they walk out. Tapco sells three kinds, arranged from best to worst below (IMO): www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?Id=a6d831d9-7032-41e7-b118-95fc4a96e9ab www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?Id=531ad66f-e75e-4e8a-a94f-3445a0120512 www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?Id=99a8e622-63dd-464c-a2c8-3df95755f0ee I've only used the bottom two, but the very bottom one is a PITA to install, as it has to go around everything and then get to the end of the selector. I worked on mine for almost an hour before I got it in. The middle one above is much better. The top one looks like it just snaps in, but like I said - not used it personally. They just go behind the little collar on the inside edge of the pins when pushed all the way in and keep them from backing out. |

I think you guys have nailed it...it's got a Tapco trigger in it already for 922 compliance, but it doesn't look like it's being held by the spring hook at all. I just had a guy re-work the mag well, and I'm suspecting he didn't re-install correctly. I'll mess with it later today. Thanks. |
