| I received a quick SAT call from my Marine son asking me to help him identify the country of origin of a weapon he picked up off a dead muj who will no longer need it. He wasn't able to send me a picture, but said the symbol on the trunion was a "V". I did some research and concluded that a triangle is usually Romanian, but might have missed the explanation for a "V" They have been picking up a lot of Russian pieces in their area, but this is the first they encountered with a "V" Does anyone have an idea on where it might have come from? |

Never heard of that. Is he in Afghanistan? If so, could be Paki made. |
| Maybe just a mis-stamped triangle? Also, please tell your son that we honor his service and sacrifice. I also think it's great the way you are staying in touch and supporting him. I would be very leery of a pick-up like that, trash any ammo found with it and have the armorer check it out before firing. |

Tell him its not clean enough to turn in? |
