Or, at least, I think it would depend on the definition of "RPK." From a "military issued" type standpoint, the East Germans created a domestic RPK variant that utilized a standard AKM stamped receiver without a reinforced trunnion (however, I don't believe it got further than the manufactured stage before the Wall fell). The Bulgarians and Vietnamese manufactured RPK's with milled receivers. Yugoslavia has both milled receiver RPK's as well as stamped receiver RPK's with 1.6mm receivers. The Egyptian RML rifle (with the 20 inch barrel) was more of a marketing project and not a "military issue" type rifle - along with the Chinese RPK-style imports which were labeled "National Match" marketing items. |
