Im picking up a Saiga in 7.62 on Thursday So i'm trying to get all the parts needed for a full blown conversion. Can someone link up the proper FSB and Break to do an AK103 clone. Thanks Also what kind of lower handguard retainer should I use? Chris |

You can get everything you need at www.k-var.com, but it will be costly. Or you can do what I did... shop around. You can use a Romanian handguard retainer from www.copesdist.com/ak47.htm, scroll down about 1/5th the way or so. Not going to find it much cheaper than here unless you buy off the EE for less. Works perfect. $12 bucks. The Front sight block... The proper ones with 24mm threads and bayonet lugs go for $85 on K-var. You do have a cheaper option and I recommend it myself after doing it with my recent build. US made Blackthorne 24mm FSB. $25. As for the correct AK-103 Muzzle Compensator... for 7.62 with 24 mm threads... there are a few made out there but I'm sure the best deal is at K-var. It's $50... Other places custom mill them and I'm sure they cost a pretty penny. Check out this Saiga conversion thread www.theakforum.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=53479 |

$30 bucks from Dinzag dinzagarms.com/brakes_hiders/74brake.html I end up pimping his work all the time because all the shat I bought for my x39 and S12 have been fantastic. He runs a great shop. Z |
It fits snug, however, you will need to drill the pin holes while its on the barrel and that will in turn drill the new notches needed in the barrel. Easy easy with a cobalt drill bit... hell I used a hand drill to do it. |
