I thought I remember someone saying that there is a kit to assist in threading AK-47 muzzles. I have dies and tap magic...but I'm thinking there is some kind of a mandrel to steady the die and keep it straight.Anybody know where I could buy/rent one of these gizzies.

Contact wjm and ask if you can rent just the TAT (Thread Alingment Tool).  You'll need to use a heavier cutting oil for threading the barrel - as I recall Tap Magic is pretty thin.  I used 50W Mobile 1 motor oil.

I have some Tap Magic that comes in a little squeeze bottle, its as thick as molassess, should work great. Also,I wouldn't mind buying a thread alignment tool if its reasonable. Any retailers have them, maybe Brownells or something ?

I have the 1/2x28 kit with the 5.45 tat if anyone's interested. I have rented it out before and charge an even $20.00 with shipping.

I've got a couple of 14 x 1 LH thread kits available. It had the die and the alignment tool (tat). They are $50 each.
