How critical is the wiggle between the gas piston and bolt carrier in a Bulgarian SLR-195. Thanks in advanced.

Probably not critical no matter the rifle so long as it functions. If it doesn't have any wobble but it works then I wouldn't mess with it.

AK's need a little wiggle. It's normal and a good thing.

The wiggle is there to account for any cant in the gas block. If the block is heads up you probanly don't need the wiggle

. Since canting is pretty common on AKs the wiggle is incorporated in to the design specs for reliability. If your rifle runs fine I wouldn't worry about it.
