Great looking ak.  What stain did you use?
What kind of bayonet is that?  I have one that is suspiciously similiar and the closest I can come to getting an ID on it is that it is No. Korean.  Is that what yours is?

Stain was red oak, its a Chinese preban AK, Range_rat Yours is probably Chinese also because Korean AKs just arent seen. This one is factory 66 in a triangle.  Whats the markings on the reciever????

Oldtroop, I was questioning the bayonet only.  The only ak I have is a Rumanian, but I've had this bayonet for awhile.  It looks really similiar to yours  so it must be chinese also.  There are no identifying marks at all on the exterior of the bayonet at all.  I have'nt pulled the stocks off of it.  I was just curious after seeing yours.

Range_rat, sorry I misunderstood. chinese preban bayos were black and a red bakelite material. there are a couple of variations of each. some will have an engraved serial number on them and some have nothing. None are maker marked. Not sure if N.Korea made them like that.
