Ok, I am building my first AK. It is an AMD-65. its a screw build. I have the front trunion installed in my OOW receiver. I first attached the trigger guard, then used a mag to find the location of the front trunion. The front of the trunion is flush with the receiver. I am now trying to use the dust cover to find the location of the rear trunion. It seems that the receiver is a little long. I think I remember reading that it is not uncommon for OOW receivers to be long. Is this right? Also, what keeps the dust cover from sliding back? Getting the dust cover on is a very tight fit. It really doesnt want to go on near the rear trunion. But with lots of pressure it goes on. But I dont see what stops it from sliding off toward the buttstock. I hope this makes sence.

Ah never mind, I just figured it out. I was slipping the dust cover over the rear trunion. I see now that it slips in the end of it.
