Arsenal USA/Global Trades in Houston VS Arsenal Inc/Nevada Same outfit or not ? Same product or not ? difference of either product relateing to quality, reliability ? |
|
Personally I'd go Arsenal Inc. (Nevada, the K-var bunch) based on range reports here and elsewhere. Their AK lineup features old school milled receivers but I'm pretty sure there's a stamped receiver AK74 going to be in their lineup soon. The Arsenal USA rifles have taken quite a beating on the boards as of late, as have their new receivers. They supposedly have a new AK74 out and about or in the works. Both companies are great to deal with as far as getting quality parts in a timely fashion, both tend to come across items that other vendors don't get until later, if ever. I think a search might yield a little more info regarding their rifles and folks opinions/experiences, it's been a long time since I spent more than $350 for an AK. Not saying that you don't get what you pay for, rather nothing "special" has really caught my eye. One of the greatest things about the internet compared to actually handling a rifle in a gunstore and making that impulse purchase... |

g.t./arsenal usa is an independant builder and contractor. they have been in the game since at least 1999...probably earlier. ssr-99 really knows the history of g.t. very well. read the post in the bulgy forum to learn about them. arsenal inc. appears tied to k-var in some fashion...good folks, also. the heart of the company is a crew of bulgarians that is doing the ak thing in america. their products are top shelf. both companies have built fine, fine ak's. g.t. has also built some of the lower and mid-range models to fill out their lineup. |
