You need some type of press to maintain the bit as straight as posible.... As you already found out by using a hand drill you end up breaking bits because high speed steel does not bend very well. Your probly working with what you have"I know the feeling from living in a apartment"but you are going to have to buy one"Harbor frieght",borrow one or take it to a smith.. Or chance it and contiue to use a hand drill. Watch as the bit get deeper in the hole and almost thru and then SHIT as the bit breaks off and stays inside the hole...Which is another nightmare. |
