i wish looking somewhere, i think it was on here at a mount that replaced the rear sight and attached to the back of the reciever where the stock screw is and i really liked it.. the only problem is that it completely removes the rear sight so i was curious as to if a ar15 type flip up rear sight attached to the rail would work with the originall front sight?

Krebscustom is starting to make one with an AR peep built into the tail end of the top rail. The DPHArms one is similar but lacks the rear peep so far.

If you get a stand alone flip up rear sight they are height adjustable and you won't need o worry about the front sight.

Well,
I don't think that DPHArms sells that mount anymore.  I can't find it on their site.

The Krebs, like all things Krebs looks great, and like all things Krebs, I'm sure it will be high quality.  Like all things Krebs, it's way late, supposed to be out at the end of May.  We're all still waiting. And like all things Krebs, it's way overpriced.  My e-mail from them quoted me $250!!!  That's almost as much as a WASR-10.

I saw this on Cope's Distributing site: http://www.copesdist.com/images/117-1703_IMG.jpg

I guess you could get an AR flip up rear or standing AR rear sight , But I'd be concerned that either it would stand too high, even for adjustable elevation.
I was curious to know if it would work on my Arsenal SA M7, so I emailed Cope's a few weeks ago.  No Response.

I think we're just our of luck for better rear sights in an AK
