Hi everyone,

Can someone show me how to install a recoil buffer on my AK?  Just wondering if i need to take out the spring or just put it on top of the spring.   I got the black jack recoil buffer.   thanks again for the help.

Just slide it on over the spring, all the way down to the thumb lock for the dust cover. Yes take the spring out and insert it in the buffer

Take off the buffer spring. First I lined up the buffer with the recoil spring,Next insert the recoil spring into the large hole on the buffer and slide it to the opposite end until it reaches the spring retainer,Then place the recoil spring back into the rifle and lock it back into place with the retainer. This is from the site " Romaniankalashnikov" I would post pictures but I am not at my house. Any side of the black jack buffer is good to go. I have one in my HDI AK103F and it works great.

Insert the recoil spring through the hole in the buffer and slide it back to the latch button.  There is an angled cut in one side of the buffer that  matches the angle of the latch.

No you are not dumb or ignorant. You are just a little confused that is all. Just follow the instructions on the site Scromer posted and you will be fine. That site is really helpful for other stuff too. If you still do not get it post again we will help you in what little we know.
