hi all. i recently got my m92 sbr build back, and i have some up and down slop on the underfolder when extended. i was looking around on the net to try and find an adjustment, or a way to snug it up some, and came across an exploded view of it. the exploded view shows a leftside, as well as rightside, locking piece with the two engagement pins. i only have a right side locking piece, and nothing on the left, but there are 2 holes on the left, so i'm thinking that this piece was overlooked when it was assembled. i had the kit in my posession for only a short amount of time before sending it out, and it was quite awhile ago, and i can't remember if this kit actually came with a left and a right, or only one side. i was wondering if anyone else that has one of these could say whether it came with both sides or not, and, of course, a pic is always most appreciated. i wonder if that one piece is available without being told i need to buy a whole underfolder. anyway, thanks to any and all who reply. |

you will need to open it to see the left side im shure its there there is no adjustment on the folder and it sounds like the builder opened the holes in the rec/block alittle to big it makes it alot easyer to get the folder fitted and working but it also makes them sloppy :/ |

thanks for taking the time to reply. i've already had my eyeball all over this to check it out, and that particular piece is most definately NOT there. the thing was, i don't know if every underfolder ever made came with a left and a right locking piece,or not, and i just wanted confirmation that the undefolders that came with the m92 kits should have came with both. i just wanted to be sure before i called the gunshop that built it, so they can't bs me by saying that they come with only one locking piece. if they come with two, i want them to figure out where the other side went, because i'm not having any luck what so ever in locating that piece by itself. the up and down slop isn't totally horendous, and i've recently fired it without it screwing up my hold and shot placement, but getting a leftside locking piece may help lessen the slop, with two sides and 4 holes locking vs. one side and only two holes locking. i wouldn't be totally surprised if he carelessly left it out during the build, as he "missed" two letters of the serial # on the form 4 ,and they got flagged, and when i fired it for the first time, the fire control group pins both walked out because he also "missed" putting in the shepards hook. he's 51 miles away, one way, so it's a suck to drive all the way out there for something piddly-ass. i got some c-clips, and they replaced the shepards hook just fine, but this locking piece deal doesn't look like it's going to work out so easy. if i could locate one on the net somewhere, i'd just order it and do it myself to save the hassle, but this thing by itself is like trying to find hens' teeth. |
| This guy is suppose to be a professional builder, right? If you were missing a part, he should have notified you. The fact that he didn't indicates that he either lost it or he doesn't pay close attention to what he's doing. Approach him from the standpoint that he lost it and you want him to find and install it. Good luck. Let us know how it turns out. |
