anybody ever use one of the fold by hand laser cut recievers? any drawbacks to them?

Hey sorry for taking so long to post this. There was a detailed link on here somewhere but I cant seem to find it. It had photos and everything else. There are a variety of drawbacks the biggest being that they will take a great deal more time than a standard flat due to the fact that they have to be welded and then ground smooth. However these are much thicker than standard flats which means that they can be completed without heat treating. If I remember correctly they are .63 thick compared to standard .43 thick. These also do not have trunnion holes which many people prefer since they rarely lign up correct when using a standard pre drilled flat. I wish I could tell you more but I honestly have never had a chance to build on one yet. If you are a good welder and dont mind the extra time these may be a good option. If you are planning on building several a jig might be a better option.
