guys im gonna buy some polish underfolders and id like some pics of what people are actually getting and from who all the vendors seem to have the same pic of the same kit that im shure was the nicest that came in id like a real pic of a real kit specialy a #2 if anyone has 1 pls post some pics or email them to me and ill post them for you [email protected] |
The Tantal "Introduction" got first priority as those orders we made FIRST,...months ago. We place NO ORDER ahead of any other ORDER and make very effort to ship kits in the order they are received, given fluxuation of the kits sorted in any particular grade at any time. PFFHEW,..that comment is confusing for even ME! Dan started sorting and shipping the orders we have on PMKMSes along with some of Tantals, because so many customers are adding PMKMSesto their orders now that I have announced that we snuck the underfolders bast the competition. I'll stop now...too much Birthday Beer...I'm stll groggy...  (I'm...still seeing double!) |

Just finished cleaning off the cosmoline from my kit I order through MGS. I'm very happy with the kit. I wouldn't be surprised if it was never fired. It was carried though because it has some finish wear. The heaviest wear is on the folder. I see no dings at all on the top cover from flying brass or from rough use. The internals have almost all of their finish still on them, even on the contact surfaces. It came with 2 mags and they show a lot of wear on the high spots, but still good condition. The wood on it looks fantastic, very few minor dings. All numbers matching, except the bayonet, and yes it comes with the bayo. I am very happy, I have always wanted a Polish folder, and the barrel scare made me finally get it. |

I ordered from both. I ordered from AkronArmory 7/1, and MGS on 07/05. I received my MGS kit today. (FedEx Ground tried to deliver it yesterday, but the moron couldn't find my house). I am extremely impressed with the kit I received ($220 shipped). It came with a matching numbers kit, 2 mags (used VG shape), bayo, cleaning kit,sling and 3 mag pouch(pouch was used, but who cares). Barrel was in excellent shape, metal was in VG+ condition. Wood was OUTSTANDING! The demil job was great, no nicked trunions, etc. No complaints! I would definately recomend doing business with them. Rating: Military Gun Supply Kit  I will add to this review when I receive the AA kit. |

I just got my AKMS kit from Akron today. I t looks great, I got the collecter grade. The wood had some VERY minor little dings. All the metal looks brand new and the bore is perfect. It will be going to jnewt this week. Thanks Bob. BTW, my card was billed on the 4th and as stated above the kit arrived today.

Can I ask a ? I have a Vector underfolder and have heard they were Polish kits , How can you tell if they are polish ? I've looked at Tantels site but just cant figure out what it is . BTW its a great rifle . 75 DA 2055 is on the left side . On the rear on the top cover in the back above square hole is it is marked FO 3674 . How can you tell if "it matches" or not I cant find enough marking to even research . ARE there distingising marks or styles or what ? The rear sight base has one noticable differance than any photos I've been able to find . |
Thanks for the reply . There is no circle 11 on the trunion but there is an oval stamped there the only marking on the trunion are 75 DA 2055 and the FO 3674 on the back of top cover . Is there a site like Differant's on the M-14 . I enjoy figuring it out if i have a little help . |
| Well thats a good site , I found out I have a Bulgarian Bayo and Waffle Mag . #10 inside a circle . No clue about the rest of my steel ribbed Mags , as they are unmarked . BUT I still couldnt ID the front Trunion there is an oval fairly clear but no #11 EVEN with my bifocals , magnifier , and bright sunlight ...no #11 maybe it was "refinished off" . There are a few distingushing features . If I had photos of differant handgaurds and rear sight block I think I could ID it . All it says is 75 DA 2055 . I geuss 75 is the date ? BASTARD I was in the service then ,this thing was made to shoot me . As for DA ??? 2055 origanal serrial # ??? |
not really , BUT Thanks , I dont own a digit cam yet....I know I know damn cavemen . I certianly appericiate the offer to look . I had days of fun reading Differants M14 book and reserching my M1A I was hoping for the same kinda thing for AK's . I thinking they are not the proof mark fun British , Italian and some are ? I noticed a few marking (on bolt I think) when I first took it apart . I didnt pay much attention to them as I was Paying attention to assy / dissassy . and well . I havent taken it apart since .....why ? Ive got about 1K rds thru it still trying to "learn it" never had a stopage of any kind . It's a hell of a gun for the late forties and fifties . Even today . The pictures do not do it justice! I am extremely impressed with the kit. I currently own either 4 Polish rifles/ or kits, and this is by far the nicest! Again I will post pics, and reviews when my Akron Armory kit arrives. |

The kit is a NEW (appears to have never been fired) gun. Literally perfect. ($239 shipped) It came with a matching numbers kit,(NEW) 2 mags (used VG shape), bayo, cleaning kit,sling and 3 mag pouch,sling was the older variety with the leather tab.. Barrel is perfect, metal is in new condition. Wood was OUTSTANDING! This kit reminds me of the new Bulgarian kits(5.45) that everyone loves some much.
