i have a bwk92 in a .223. this is one of the poor Ak's caught in the ban so, it had its barrel threads taken off. what im wondering is if it is possible to have someone cut the part where they ground the threads off move the front sight back and rethread the barrel. is it legal to cut a barrel shorter? also who could do this work for me? thank you.

sure it would work as long as the barrel will still be longer than 16" if not it would then be a SBR and you would need to do all the appropriate paperwork, tax stamp, etc prior to cutting the barrel. hope this helps.
