Hello all-

I changed my WASR to a Romanian side folder, but the tang screws were not included.  I have seen some say "5mm" screws, but what length and pitch?

Any sources?

Thanks as always.

I just tokk the sidefolder into Home Depot and tested it.

had to shorten one of them

I did the same thing. Mine were a tiight fit and really had to tork them down to the point that either the stock or the screws were been slightly reduced/expanded. Could have been a little bit of finish on the stock had added thickness to the threads. Anyway that's what I would do.

5mm x .8 pitch   I buy them by bx/100    measure .340" under head   front trunion hole ok-no need to shorten  rear hole MUST have screw shortened to approx .200" so there is no interference when folding stock   also  most of the time the OD of the screw head will require a reduction in diameter...chuck them in lathe and cut to fit

That's what I'm talking about!  Thanks for the info
