I'm looking into getting a new sidefolding stock for my saiga and I'm trashing the TAPCO folding stock. So far, my choices are the Romanian folding stock, and the Krinkov type folding stock. I'm sure these questions have been asked before, but I didn't find anything in the search.

1. It doesn't look like I can use my drum mag with the Romanian stock folded. Is this correct?

2. Does the Krinkov folding stock play well with optics mounted on the sight rail?

3. Where is the best place to get a Krinkov type folding stock?

4. Can I use my drum mag with the Krinkov stock in the folded position?

5. Which stock is longer?

1. I don't have a drum, but the folder  should not interfere
2. The folder does work with the optics rail
3.K-var (if they still have them)
4. See #1
5.  I don't have  romy folder either

I've only seen Krink types that fold left, which kills optics rail use. Assuming you still need a US part for the conversion, see riflestocks.com, consider Galil type, folds left or right, choice of lengths, better cheek weld.

Yes, this is correct. I have a Chinese drum and a Romanian side folder on my MAK90. You will not be able to fold the stock with the drum.

Thanks for the replies.
