ok, i decided against the krink kit as i bought a mauser and a ton of ammo for it instead. i do still wish to build a underfolder. I am looking to do this as cheaply as possible yet remain accurate and reliable. i looked on the EE here but do not know what is an acceptable price for a underfolder kit. am i better off trolling the EE or going through a website or gunbroker? thanks annyone want to sell me a underfolder kit |

I think the days of a cheap kit that are decent are gone. Are you planning to buy a 100% receiver are fold your own? Plus compliance parts. Have you built one before or ,are you a first timer? If so ,buy a Romy G kit to start. Copes has Hand pick with matching #s with G2 trigger for 124$ Its a good place to start. Then if you want more..... |

i am a noob to building, however i have a FAL build underway as well as a 1919 kit, so i am not exactly a build novice. Im also a very DIY kind of guy so i have any tols i could need to do the kit, not to mention hookups with a machine shop, lathe, MG shop tools. I just need to read up on AK builds in order to do it right. im looking for a cheap but reliable build, that is all. |
| My Yugo UF build (good bore), Kit = $109 , receiver = $85 (+20 for FFL), parts = $30, that equals about $245 for a gun people are wanting $489-$599.00 (add another $20 for FFL) for complete, built by who knows. Kits have gone up .....but you can still get one for $169.00 at a couple of places .....maybe cheaper if ya look. |

Reciever from Nodak is $90 Kit was $200 Rivet set was $10 US Compliance $50 thats $350 you can get a Romy kit for $100, then find the underfolder kits for $60-$70, but as far as quality the Polish kit is way ahead, except the bore, there is some crome chipping!! http://www.hunt101.com/img/425588.JPG |
| Are all the underfolder stocks the same? I have a fixed stock kit thats from a stamped Romanian and I also have an underfolder from a Yugo milled receiver. I was wondering if I could do the build on a stamped gun by just buying a rear trunion. I would think not, but they appear identical in pictures. |
