I don't know if it's the same brand name, but it's sure the same rail cover. They're really quite sturdy. |
Well here's my "Entry Level First Build". That mean's cheap. 
It's all based on a S&W lower. It has a cheap ass UTG quadrail, and a cheap ass Barska scope. I choose to go this route because I simply didn't have the cash to get the top of the line stuff right now. I have a total of $160 in the rail and scope. But I'm saving my pennies for a factory M&P-T quadrail.  I just love that monolithic look. Speaking of the factory "T", can someone post a close up pic of where the rail meet's the receiver. It just ruin's the whole look for me seeing that funky delta ring on the other model's.
I don't know if I can get by with mounting the scope across the gap like this or not. I need it that far forward to get my perfect eye relief. I do have a cantilevered mount on the way, but that's another thread.

You have to make sure you have a rifle buffer tube and buffer. It wasn't as had to install as I thought it would be. i heard horror stories about getting the foam sleave to slide over the buffer tube. I read on here to coat the buffer tube with some spark plug grease. It won't affect the foam. I did that, and it slide on pretty easy. |

Smith and Wesson uses Troy Industry rails on their T models. You can find the rails here... Here's a closeup of the rail/receiver...

Okay, looks like I got the first Magpul MP15 pic! (my own creation, not factory built)
It's an MP15R (5.45x39) KISS carbine with Magpul MOE stock/grip/handguards, LMT fixed BUIS, Duracoated Colt Gray, bolt carrier group hard chromed by Metaloy Industries (great work I may add, easy clean-up), and an MGI adjustable gas tube.
