Crappy pix... but hey, it's dark outside most of the day, so ya'll will have to deal with kitchen floor pix!
Nikon Buckmaster 6-18X40mm sittin on top of some steel Burris standard heighth rings, The scope just clears the rail but I can fit 10 sheets of paper between the 2...

Tag as well. And a question for those with BUIS and a scope.
Do you guys remove the scope to use the rear sight? I am in the process of building a semi-precision rig and still waiting to find a scope mount. Should I leave the sights off if? I currently have an A-2 with a cheap red-dot on the carry handle , and an A-3 with an EOtech and a front sight post. Neither is free floated. So the current build is an A-3 with a flip up gas block and a GG and G free float. Should I mount a flip up rear sight on this rifle or just leave it off? If I leave it on, should I us a quick release for the scope? Not trying to steal the thread just looking for suggestions as well. Thanks. |
