| I’ve been looking at ways to get a FRT into a .22LR just for economy in shooting. They seem challenging to FRT but very simple to stuff a binary into. Have binary triggers become a fringe thing? |

For the most part, yes. I had a lot of fun with mine, even though I was able to "outrun" the second shot, leaving me with a dead trigger. Just had to pace my trigger pulls intelligently. Then one day this summer, I first shot a Super Safety. From that day forward, my Franklin sat in a box, until a few weeks ago when I put it in a 22 AR. In that role, it actually does quite well. The action cycles so quickly, that I can't outrun the second shot. It's nice to just drop in a 22 conversion, and not need to set up a Super Safety trip. All that said, I would not buy another binary trigger. FRTs are just better, especially for centerfire cartridges. |
