During the project SALVO program (1952-61), Winchester/ Olin produced Duplex and Triplex loads in order to increase the fire power of machine guns.
Many different loadings where made over these years, here are just a few. The long neck Triplex, note the middle bullet is canted. This is done for a random dispersion with every shot. Contains 3 - 59.5 gr GMCS bullets and has overall case length of 2.91 inches. Head stamp WRA/ 56 Next two are short neck Duplex and Triplex loadings, note the bottom bullet is canted. The Duplex has 2 GMCS 96gr projectiles, head stamp WCC/ 57 Triplex has 3 GMCS 60gr projectiles and has a red tip for identification, head stamp WRA/ 57 wolfgang

In the bottom Triplex round, is the bottom bullet just being held in place by the powder or is it connected to the middle bullet in some way?
