That looks pretty good according to my step dad. He's worked at Crane for the last 26 years and handles these little beauty's everyday, lucky bastard......

I'd just get it lasered/bleached on. Spikes and other places can do this service.

I thank you guys, but I can't have it done in the USA.. I am in Switzerland, and having a lower IN or OUT of the USA is a mess, because of ITAR..

Ha! Thats funny I work in the NCIS armory as an intern. This logo is from Crane (obviously), its a branch that manages the Navy's weapons (repairs etc) the Naval Surface Warfare Center. As for getting it done I would just get it laser engraved. A lot of paintball guys do engraving on they're guns. some pretty amazing stuff I would look around on pbnation.com. Obviously don't do this but here's some example what they can do

well, being unable to find the logo or a file somewhere I had to reproduce it myself with photoshop. If anybody else needs it I can email him a .PDF or a .psp of it.

I will bring it to the laser engraving company tuesday, and see what can be done exactly !

I really look forward to the lady's face when she will ask me what that piece of aluminim is..

Well, a lower m'aam, a lower receiver from a gas operated, air cooled, magasine fed, fully-automatic M16A1assault rifle   priceless

After designing the logo, I had it done, by a local laser engraving shop !

I am pretty satisfied with the result.. If i had to do it again, I would only make the lines and police slightly thinner, but I'm pretty satisfied !

Cost me only 35$ box and was done in 30min.. The laser machine they used was built in Arizona.

Yours slightly better I think.. thinner letters.. maybe your rectangle is a bit think...

i don't know. I guess that there is not a single perfect standard, even on the true Mk18....

I long hesited if I would have my M16A1 lower engraved instead, but at the end, I though keeping it original was wiser.. so I engraved this armalite lower.

They said when it was engraved that they had to make the rectangle line width thicker as the laser could not track it as it was being engraved.  The thin letters were no problem, just the rectangle.

They already do this one.

Orion is Good-to-go here in the US?

Had sent my lower off to Anvil Arms right as their S was hitting TF. Don't want to deal with them (and can't right now anyway), but still want to get my lower marked with the Mk 18 MOD 0 engraving.

what does the 4 83 A mean? Anyone know

I contacted Orion, their engraving is with a rotary tool (cutting into the metal) not laser engraving, so it's a no-go... for me anyway.

Anyone else in the industry filling in where Anvil Arms left off? You would think there would someone.

Want the laser engraving like the MK18s have. Don't see the point in doing it if it’s not going to be correct.
