I got my two receiver sets, BCH, charging handles, Geissles, Magpul furniture, and Odin rails today from Primary. Barrels, LPKs, has blocks/tubes, and buffers coming from Aero hopefully next week. (Along with a couple 556 lowers for the safe!)
I have some assembly to do! |

Great Now I have to contact him and find out. It only took 8 days to get the parts kits in 2 day priority mail. Also where are you guys getting parts I am looking for a adjustable gas block and a mid length gas tube and rail and stock and all I can find is ar15 parts, but Magpul has a few AR10 stocks. View Quote The gas block and gas tube are the same as used on AR15s. Got my SLR gas block from righttobear.com. They sell a lot of 80% lowers but they have other stuff in stock also. Hyper fast shipping every time I order from them. Right To Bear Arms & Supply |

I'm assuming that you guys talking about SLR rails getting anodized ordered FDE? I seem to recall their website saying that ordering FDE would add a lead time due to being sent to get anodized FDE.

Nope, just the normal black color. Have you guys asked about it in their industry forum? They seem to be a great company that are genuinely concerned with customer satisfaction. My first two orders from them in the last two weeks have gone smooth as silk. |

Did he say that or the website say that? Either way that's shitty. Mine is getting anodized too, hope it's not the same case. I'd like to actually build this rifle while I'm home on leave. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Anybody get a shipping notice from slr? No... called Friday reference a rail that showed in stock, was told the rail I ordered was at the shop getting anodized.... apparently the rail was NOT in stock. I don't like that... Says my package shipped on Dec 2 and arrived Dec 5 so it should be at my house. Too bad I'm deployed |

Called today and they said it should be on the way today. All boxed up and ready to ship.

I've ordered several things the last several weeks. Once my black Friday package finally left the shop it was here pretty quick.

Does anyone with a complete M5 lower live up in the NOVA area... and are willing to let me test my upper on it?
I want to determine with confidence that my problems really are that of an issue with the lower. So far it feels like I'm $2,000+ in on polishing a turd. |

Currently waiting for my parts to off gas, them Cerakoting the rifle tonight.
Water in the air compressor is really kicking my ass. I live in the desert, too, which really rubs salt in the wound. I've drained my tank a gazillion times. Might have to hold off until humidity drops. |

Does anyone know if the BTE low profile fits under the 15 inch rail? I am planning on getting a rail from Aero since most of the others done line up perfectly, but since the barrel is a mid length the gas block would be under the rail correct? Also is the adjustable gas block really needed or will the low profile from Aero .750 work. I was the posts where the guy was having gas issues.

Thanks!
It's a 12" rail. Barrel is 16" with a rifle length gas system. |

Jumped in the pool about an hour ago. Ordered 2 bare AP M5 lowers. I figure to go one short & light (14.5/16"), red dot, and one long & heavy(20/22"), glass. That's about as much as I've thought lol.

FWIW, I bought an assembled AP M5 upper (on sale, how could i resist). noticed that the included foward assist didn't engage the serrations on my bolt carrier. since the FA is held in with a screw instead of a roll pin, easy to disassemble & inspect. i compared it to some spare AR15/M4 forward assists i had laying around, i noticed that the pawl (finger) didn't have the same range of motion, so i swapped it out, and voila, now it works fine.
i only mention it because i saw on the AP page (Community) that somebody on Facebook/Instagram had the same issue. just wondering if AP got a batch of sub-spec forward assists. food for thought if you have the same problem. |

Damn, my handguard is too long for me to get to the SLR gas block. Is there a longer allen wrench I can buy?

Me too. Hopefully it actually ships today.
To be fair, they have been very fast with responses to questions about my order. |

I have a very, very bad feeling fedex has lost my M5 buidler set.
Boy fedex used to be good. I got the 'label created' email last week. No other updates. Was supposed to be delivered today. Nothing. Not a peep since last week. Call fedex and get a simple. 'there is no info available' response. What the hell does that even mean? Emailed Schuyler, they said they have a 'pickup receipt' and will try and contact fedex. Not getting the warm fuzzies about this one at all. I've got alot of money sunk in this based off getting that builder set at an affordable price. They said the barrel was supposed to go out today, so for everyone waiting on barrels, theres that. Not sure why they even bothered to ship them seperately? Not a huge deal to wait for the barrel. I hope fedex hasnt lost my receiver. |

ZQI 308 is 5" inch ammo at 100 out of my Rainier Match Select. It functions though. View Quote Really? I just picked up some ZQI 308 from AIM Surplus and I easily got <2" groups at 100 with my PWS. Had I not been in a hurry to sight in multiple rifles before loosing sunlight, I'm confident I could've shrunk those groups to about 1" or 1.5". I will say this: I think the powder is a slow burning powder. ZQI is the only factory load I've found that won't run in my POF P308 14.5". It short strokes with the valve wide open. If I turn it down to the "suppressor" gas setting it doesn't cycle at all, acts like a single shot. |
